Geocache Description:

Easy caching back to Chichester from Chichester Marina. The route, in part, follows the Salterns Way and then travels along the coast back to the outskirts of Chichester (just East of Fishbourne).

I created this series so that cachers completing the 'Lipchis Canal Wander' series nearby have a caching route back to Chichester and eventually to where they started. This series was inspired by my caching friend 'SAO_9' because he complained that my 'Lipchis Canal Wander' series was too 'A to B' for some people (like him) to complete. Then thinking on it I decided I didn't much like A to B series either!

Simple traditional cache set along the bridleway/footpath that forms part of the Salterns Way.

Caches 1 to 9 in the series take you from Chichester Marina to Dell Quay. The path/bridleway is suitable for walkers, cyclists and pushchairs.

The marina is visitor friendly with a few restaurants and cafes on site if you choose to keep going along the public footpath - particularly good on a hot day!

After Cache 1 in the series you may also want to go and find 'Beside The Sea' published by 'Tandem_Marauders'

The pub at Dell Quay gets very busy during periods of good weather and at weekends so expect plenty of people parking down the road on approach to it. You may also want to stop off here to 'admire the view'!

Caches 10 to 16 in the series take you from Dell Quay to the outskirts of Chichester (East of Fishbourne).

Please note that Cache 15 is listed as 'Church Micro 6388...Fishbourne' (GC5D1WZ).

In the warmer weather you will find a lot more muggles about, especially the cycling type, so stealth will be required for most of the caches - particularly the ones placed on the Salterns Way.

I hope that you enjoy the walk - I've always love the coastal views around here!

Upon completing the series (in order) you may wish to find the following to take you back to the Chichester Ship Canal either to return or to complete my 'Lipchis Canal Wander' series:
'Big Green Ugly Thing' (GC4WF3F)
'Side Tracked - Chichester' (GC1QG0P)
After these caches, please follow the signs to Chichester Railway Station. The density of caches in this area prevent me from placing further caches.
