This cache is located off the hiking trail at the summit of Goodnow
Mountian near the Fire Tower. The parking area at the trail head is
located at 43°58.179N and 074°12.860W off route 28N in the town of
Newcomb. The hike took me two hours to climb to the summit. They
have benches along the way, which I used. I am not in good shape at
fifty eight years old. But geo caching is improving that. Hope to
run to the top some day. Ha! Ha!
The cache is well stocked with no junk. Just good usefull items.
LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY PLEASE and no more then one toy if you must
and NO FOOD. The cache is an ammo can olive drab.
Please be discreet for this area is a very popular area. The
cache is hidden out of sight from the tower area but it is
close.
P.S. I no longer live in the state and I have been getting
reports that the log is WET. I would appreciate it if the next
person would bring a new log book in a ziplock bag 10/5/2009 THANK
