The Ponds is a new suburb of Sydney located 40 kilometres north-west of the CBD. It's name was designed to reflect the geography of the area and was derived from the nearby Second Ponds Creek. To the south-east of the main large pond, the cycleway leads past a small nature reserve containing several dirt tracks suitable for walking or BMX riding, and is home to several groups of odd-shaped art installations topped with mosaic patterned tiles.
UPDATE: it has recently been brought to our attention that this "art" installation is in fact The Ponds Seating which was commissioned by Landcom and fabricated by prisoners at Parklea Correctional Centre, see the link for further information.
GZ is easily visible from the road and a short walk from the pathway, please be mindful that you will be fairly exposed while searching for this cache and the neighbours across the street seem particularly nosy! Highly recommend retrieving this cache under the cover of darkness, although please be careful while walking as the ground is quite uneven and you could be easily injured if you stepped into a hole!
You are looking for a black bison tube with natural camouflage. Please replace the cache exactly as found.
The natural bushland surrounding this cache has grown substantially since it was first placed and GZ is no longer visible from the street. A trailhead waypoint has been added to provide a suitable entry point to access the cache -- follow the trail until you can find clear line of sight to GZ.
