My wife & I visited this small country town to photograph the WW11 Fuel Tanks , and were met by the owner of the farm property on which the tanks are located.as there was no cache in this town, I asked if he will manage a cache which he was very happy to look after and maintain the cache, his name is Simon Ballinger , whose is well known in the district and whose property these tanks are located.
Located at Wolseley South Australia a town that houses World War 11 Fuel Storage Tanks.
Wolseley was named after Sir Garnet Wolseley (afterwards Viscount) a famous general who was the victor at Tel-el-Kabir in the Sudan in 1882.
Right next to the town of Wolseley, along Railway Terrace North, the R.A.A.F constructed a No 12 Inland Aircraft Fuel Depot early in WW11.
The cache is magnetic and NOT ON THE FUEL TANKS as these are on Private Property.
BYO PEN .
PLEASE WATCH FOR FAST MOVING TRAINS IN THE AREA.
