As you know, the critters have been pushing us back from the North and we have been taking heavy fire for the past 5 days. I’m sure you remember the day they arrived over two years ago now with their giant ships hanging in the air and broadcasting their slogan incessantly over all the airwaves “All your base are belong to us. All your base are belong to us. All your base are belong to us.” over and over again for days on end. And then the destruction started.
It wasn’t long before the critters launched their first ground offensive and we finally saw our enemies up close, those horrible 3 scaly eyes and three arms each with only three fingers – brhh!
But all that is history now and most of the West has been taken – we have no intelligence about what has happened to humanity in Asia, our long range communications were disrupted on the forty fifth day. After that it was downhill with over two hundred cities falling in the first six days.
But here in Milton Keynes is where we think our best chance of survival may lie. We have captured a piece of enemy intelligence that we suspect contains the location of their base – or at the very least a cache of their superior technology. Unfortunately it is in code. We know the critters speak English (we have never managed to find out why) but it is imperative that we decipher this text and get to the location of that cache – the very future of humanity may depend on it.
