I discovered this quiet little reserve while exploring the sleepy urban suburb of Castle Hill. On my first visit, a stubborn brush turkey wandered out of the bush and brazenly walked right past me, giving this cache it's name.
Telfer Way Reserve is a fairly spartan open space with minimal playground equipment (and a water bubbler) surrounded by natural bushland. The nearest parking is located in Telfer Way and access is available from Amberwood Way via a short dirt path through a small gum tree forest. A small group of workmen with a bobcat were digging the foundation of a concrete path as I was placing the cache. Listen out for bell birds that inhabit the surrounding bushland.
You are looking for a small camo'ed container containing a pen, logbook and a few swappable trinkets for the kids. The coordinates were averaged over several visits yet due to heavy tree cover may not be entirely accurate, please let me know if you get a different GPS reading. Regardless of this, you should not have any trouble finding this cache. Please replace the natural camo hiding the container to prevent it from being disturbed.
Congratulations to TARDIS 0061 on a blisteringly fast FTF!
