The parking lot for Mount Archer Woods is on the south side of Mt. Archer Road at the stone pillar about one mile from the intersection of Mt. Archer Road and Route 156 and 2/3 of a mile from the intersection of Brush Hill and Tantomorantum Roads; coordinates are provided. LLCT preserves are open from sunrise to sunset and provide opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, non-motorized biking, hunting, horseback riding and leashed pets.
While planning for a Geocaching 101 event sponsored jointly by the Lyme Land Conservation Trust and the East Haddam Land Trust, I noticed a large area on the northern part of Mount Archer Woods was without a cache, so decided to remedy the situation. You are looking for a medium lock and lock stocked with a few items for the whole family. Lyme and East Haddam have some of the nicest preserves in the state and I encourage you to visit all of them.
