Geocache Description:

The Salthouse Sculpture Trail was launched in 2008 and as well as showing some of Norfolk’s contemporary artwork it has also  created  a 10 mile route for people to view the natural beauty of North Norfolk. It runs through Salthouse village to Salthouse Heath, Kelling Village, Kelling Heath, Kelling Heath Holiday Park, Holt town and Holt Country Park.

At GZ you will find one of the sculptures on the trail. This one is a Monument to the Salthouse Mariners  and stands proud on a high ridge above the coastal road looking out towards the marshes. There are some fabulous views from here, and on a clear day you can see for miles.  Cley can be seen to the west and the coastal lookout point at Sheringham is visible to the east. The tower of Salthouse Parish church rises above the trees and the footpath and trail continues past the church in an easterly direction. Whilst there why not attempt the CM Micro (GC4J56E)

The footpath to GZ starts in Salthouse close to the small green with its bus stop and community amenities. See waypoint below.  At the time of setting this cache the paths were dry and easy to navigate.  Blackberry bushes line the path and are in fruit at the moment (September 2014).  However,  I imagine the path can become muddy in the winter so please wear appropriate footwear.

You are looking for a containing that is similar in size to a film pot.  Please replace exactly as found.  You will need to bring your own pen.

Another sculpture can be seen at the Kelling Reading Room Cache (GC479MN).
