Some of our local cachers may know that Slug had an earlier life running long distances, including ultra-marathons. One of the slogans he used, and they use as a community, is that you "start off slow, and then ease off". After all, you don't want to have blown your wad at the half-way point. Likewise with caching; it's not a sprint, it's a marathon..!!
I also thought it fitting to place a cache here, because, as an Army vet, Team Slug will be looking right at the back of the NAVY federal credit union (Go Navy!)..
Finally, this area just screamed out for a new cache as this is the only open area along route 610 as far as the eye can see.
