Koppen Mountain Traditional Cache

Koppen Mountain is one of the easier peaks in the Teanaway but, like most of the others, it has expansive views of Mt Stuart, surrounding peaks, and on a good day Mount Rainier. 

This is the first of my Teanaway Peak series. There are caches on a few peaks (Iron Peak, Earl Peak, Teanaway Butte) in the Teanaway area. The Teanaway Peak series is an effort to place caches on the remaining main peaks (Navajo, Bean, etc.) and some of the lesser peaks (Johnson, Gene, etc.).

The round trip distance from the DeRoux TH is a little over 7 miles and the elevation gain is only about 2400 feet.  You'll need a NW Forest Pass if you park at the TH.  If you are hardy enough to make it all the way to the summit then you shouldn't have to look too hard for this cache.  I've made the hide fairly easy - it's just below the summit on the way up.  Use your geo-sense and you'll have no problems getting the grab on this small lock-n-lock container.
