Kapelle am Glieshof, dem Hl. Sebastian geweiht!
Im schönen Matscher Tal befindet sich am Ende der Fahrstraße der Glieshof! Von hier kann man sehr schöne Wanderungen z.B. ins Matscher Tal, zur Oberetteshütte, zu den Saldurseen oder ins Upiatal machen.
Auf dem Glieshof gab es schon immer eine Kapelle, jedoch war die erste am Haus angebaut. Jeder Gast der die Fam. Heinisch besuchen wollte, musste durch die Kapelle gehen um ins Haus zu kommen. Dieser Umstand war dem Urgroßvater des jetzigen Besitzers des Glieshof ein Dorn im Auge und er ließ daraufhin im Jahr 1930 die alte Kapelle am Haus abreißen.
Der Urgroßvater ließ dafür in der Zeit von 1930 bis 1932 die jetzige Kapelle bauen, 1932 wurde sie dem Hl. Sebastian geweiht.
In den 1980 Jahren wurde sie dann letztmalig innen und außen renoviert. Bis Anfang 1990 wurde dort noch einmal wöchentlich eine hl. Messe gefeiert. Sie wird auch heute noch für Taufen und Hochzeiten genutzt!
Sie ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!
Entsprechendes Benehmen in der Kapelle setze ich voraus!

Parken kann man direkt an der Kapelle oder etwas unterhalb auf einem Wanderparkplatz!

Chapel at Glieshof, consecrated to the Holy. Sebastian!
In the beautiful Valley of Matsch it is located at the end of the driveway to the Glieshof! From here you can make very lovely walks for example into the Valley of Matsch, to the mountain hut Oberettesalm, to the Saldur lakes or into the Upiatal.
On the Glieshof there was always a chapel, but the first was installed at the house. Every guest who wanted to visit the family Heinisch had to go through the chapel to come into the house. This circumstance was the great-grandfather of the current owner of the Glieshof an eyesore and then he demolished the old chapel in 1930.
The great-grandfather let built the present chapel in the time from 1930 to 1932 and it was consecrated to the Holy Sebastian in 1932.
In the 1980 years it was last renovated inside and out. Till early 1990 there was still a weekly hl. Mass celebrated. It is still used for baptisms and weddings!
It is definitely worth to be visit!

La cappella di San Sebastiano al Glieshof.
In fondo alla bellissima Val Mazia si trova il maso Glies! Luogo ideale per intraprendere escursioni, gite e camminate piacevoli verso la malga di Mazia, il rifugio Oberettes, i laghi Saldur o la Val Upia.
Sul maso già da sempre c’era una cappella, la prima però era attaccata alla casa. Ogni ospite che volle visitare la famiglia Heinisch dovette passare attraverso al cappella per entrare in casa. Al bisnonno dell’attuale proprietario questo non piacque e così nel 1930 decise di ricostruire la cappella poco distante dalla casa.
Nel 1930 iniziarono i lavori e terminarono nel 1932. Proprio in quell’anno fu consacrata a San Sebastiano. Negli anni ’80 venne restaurata e fino agli inizi degli anni ’90 si celebrò la Santa Messa una volta alla settimana.
Oggi invece viene usata per battesimi o sposalizi.
Merita una visita!! La cappella è aperta ogni giorno dal crepuscolo fino al tramonto. Accanto alla cappella c’è la possibilità di parcheggiare la macchina.
