Shoreline to Skyline - Papa Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Highlander 71: This is another "good news, bad news" post.

First, the good news. The final stages of paving the bridge began today, and along with that came the re-opening of the trail that runs beneath the new structure. The neighbourhood will be so grateful to have things get back to normal.

There is bad news, however. While this cache has been on the shelf awaiting its triumphant return to active service, it has apparently become bored and wandered off from the workshop. A thorough search turned up no leads so we have no choice but to archive it.

Thanks to everyone who visited this cache page, whether you found the cache or not. Sorry to have kept you in suspense for a year only to pull the rug out from under you. Take heart in the fact that, like life, geocaching goes on, and a brand new Papa will be pressed into service ASAP. Turn on your notifications and watch your inbox for the next piece of good news!

Geocache Description:

This series challenges you with a number of tasks, not the least of which is to hike all the way from the Shoreline (aka Burrard Inlet) to the Skyline, which in this case is the top of Skyline Trail in North Vancouver. Traversing a total distance of 8 kilometres, you will face an elevation gain of about 880 metres. The wise cacher will split this adventure into manageable sections. The rest of you should carry plenty of food and water.

Along the way, you will discover a few caches that contain clues you need to collect, others that are not what they seem to be, and a couple that we hope will make you smile.

MOSQUITO CREEK TRAIL WELCOMES CYCLISTS RIDING UPHILL ONLY BETWEEN MOSQUITO CREEK PARK AND PALISADE DRIVE.

Come to Papa! This one is easier than falling off a log. Child’s play. Easy peasy. Stealing candy from a baby. No sweat. Fish in a barrel. Two plus two. Duck soup. Piece of cake. No problemo. Hiding in plain sight.

We hope you enjoy this series. Remember to cache safely by always being aware of your surroundings, and please put the cache back as you found it.
