Geocache Description:

This is a Challenge cache off of the Nine Tree (Terrain) Trail, and as such the cache is NOT at the listed coordinates. The Challenge is to have found a cache for each of the x 9 different Terrain ratings of the Difficulty of ONE (1) within 'your State of Origin', within the 12 months time frame you select.

PLEASE NOTE: There has been a 'Controlled Burn' reported being done in the area 28th August, and caches may have 'suffered damage'. Will check it out in the coming week.

As a Challenge cache you will need to list in your Found It log entry (unless in a prior Note entry) the NINE (9) caches from 'your state' that qualify you for the 'Specialist' Find here. (Obviously) They are all of the rating of Difficulty 1, and the Terrain ratings required are: T1, T1½, T2, T2½, T3, T3½, T4, T4½, and T5.
Cache's minutes are: SXXVIII.CCXLIX EXLIII.DCXVII

Rules:
1/ The TWELVE MONTHS is the time frame that you select. So it could be the first year that you started, OR, the most recent consecutive 12 months, OR any year in between. This DOES NOT have to be the same 12 months required for other in the Nine Tree Trail Series.

2/ This may be extended by a further SIX MONTHS for each additional different Type of cache you are able to include in your list. SO, if you only use one particular Type of cache (no matter WHAT Type it is) it is still up to you to select the particular 365 consecutive days to get your list of caches from. So for example, if you choose (or are able) to include x 9 different Types of caches in your list each with a unique Terrain rating then you would have 5 years in the past of logging this cache to gain your list from.

3/ In your Found It log (or Note, if getting ready to come and find it), please include your State of Origin, and the time frame you are using for this cache. Then, for each of the x 9 qualifying caches: Terrain rating, GC code, Cache Name, Type, Date Found. See my qualifying list below.
3/ a) You may also either place a 'screen shot' of a table that specifies the qualifying caches, or if you are a Premium Member then a Bookmark could be made with a link shown in the log. For example, Grahame Cookie's D1 bookmark.

4/ For the Australian States I'm willing to allow x 4 'Wildcards' which can can be used any where/time in the 81 caches to be listed. The Wildcard could be used, a) for a cache outside of your State, or b) where you already found that rare combination at a time outside of the period being used. (Territorians can contact me about their peculiar circumstances)

5/ If you are the Cache Owner of a cache of a particular Difficulty and Terrain rating for your State in the 'White' or 'Light blue' section of the stats below please use that cache, and state: "OWNED" after the GC code and cache name. (This applies only to caches placed before the Hidden date of this cache.)

"So, you don't have a 'State of Origin' (or subsequently adopted a State), OR, your State doesn't have 'complement' of all nine possible Terrain combinations". Okay, if you otherwise qualify you are still welcome to log a Find for this one, but won't automatically be able to Find the Final State of Origin Challenge cache; but you are on your way to qualifying for the Victorian "Project 81 Master Challenge" cache, GC4T46Q
"Country of Origin" is acceptable if visiting from overseas

PLEASE NOTE: If you have already filled your D/T Grid up, and found all 81 of the different Difficulty and Terrain possibilities (and your stats are visible to the public) then you are welcome to find this, BUT if the appropriate list of caches is not provided then you won't be able to a) be able to brag the FTF rights, or b) then be able to immediately qualify for the FINALS Challenge cache once the appropriate other Challenge caches are also appropriately logged.
If your Difficulty and Terrain grid shows that you haven't found the appropriate Terrain caches your Found it log would be deleted; so PLEASE, rather a Note.

Below is a statistical representation of the quantity of Difficulty 1 caches that were active in the Australian States in September, 2014. As can be seen the Northern Territory does not have a full complement of D1 caches, so any bordering state could be chosen for those missing Terrain combinations, ie, Queensland, South Australia, or Western Australia, and your State of Origin would still be accepted. PLEASE DON'T take these numbers 'as Gospel', as we all know that new caches will be added, and others Archived.
