When this family decided that they wanted to get back to the basics of life they decided to to build themselves a pioneer village. This village contains a trappers cabin,blacksmith shop, school (active), church (active), chuck wagon, MARSHALS OFFICE, saloon, tee pee, general store and trading post, cannon, egg factory, outdoor cooks kitchen. and of coarse a playground for the kids. The grounds are also home to the Zelch Homestead (a living home). The Egg Factory better known as the Egg and I features pigs, chickens (of coarse), ducks and more. The church is a real and active church holding services on the second Sunday of each month starting at 10am from April to December. They hold weddings and vow renewals here also so if you and significant other are looking to get hitched or re hitched this is a beautiful place to do it. The Zelch Homestead is a living home with back to the basics living lifestyle. The home was built in twenty-seven day in two thousand and ten at a total cost fifty-four hundred dollars. The home consist of a rainwater collection system, solar power with minimal electric usage, cooking and heating are done by wood and propane, a propane refrigerator, pitcher pump for kitchen faucet, composting toilet with a back up chamber pot, food preservation consist of canning.
