This cache is placed near the parking area to the Stony Point Pegium Colony at Betty's Bay. It is on the well used tourist route from Gordon's Bay through to Hermanus or vice versa. I have passed this area many times when we lived in the area and never knew about its existence! It is not well sign posted but with the cache coordinates you will be taken right to the parking area.
A short walk from the parking area will take you to a well constructed wooden boardwalk that leads to the pengiun colony. There are thousands of pengiuns milling around and for a small entry fee [currently R10 per adult - kids 12 and under FREE] you can walk all the way to the point and see the pengiuns less that 1m from you! An excellent experience for the kids!
