Geocache Description:

An easy trade-a-coin find for ferry-going geocachers and their families.

Until now, I've placed a wide variety of geocaches but never a stand-alone microcache. Today I got the urge! My family and I took the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston. I placed this one in Kingston, which was not named for The Kingston Trio. I used to listen to those guys when I was a kid but I couldn't place a trio of geocaches here. The container is a small, magnetic Hide-A-Key box. Please exchange a coin and log what you took/left. I started it with a 2001 penny. It has some paper for signing your name--write small! I included a pencil but you may want to take your own writing implement. There will be plenty of watchful eyes, so be discreet. My suggestion is that you sit at a picnic table for a couple of minutes while your GPSR settles in with a good signal. Eyeball your target location, then when the coast is clear walk over and grab it. This will not take 60 Minutes to complete.

Believe it or not, the coordinates are the ones to use! But for those who love puzzles, I've made one for you. The geocache should be fairly easy to find without the hint, so you'll need to solve this puzzle to get the hint.

The hint is not encrypted in the usual Rotation-13 code. It uses a different rotation which will be revealed in the puzzle. (You can rotate the alphabet anywhere from one to 25 places. If you'd like some more information, go here.) Answer the following 11 questions, writing in the blanks going across. The solution to the decryption key (the rotation you'll need) will be found in the bold box going down the middle. You may need to do some Web searching or phone a friend! Have fun!

1. The Kingston Trio song "M.T.A." is about the man who never _______________.
2. The Kingston Trio recorded a song about this river in France.
3. The fountain just up the street from the Edmonds ferry is located at this intersection. Similar to the title of a William H. Macy movie.
4. Riding the ferry to Kingston affords a view of this mountain range.
5. If you don't drive a car onto the ferry, you may _______ on.
6. One of Edmonds' more famous parks is located here.
7. Famous travel guide headquartered in Edmonds.
8. Suggested way to get from Edmonds to Kingston.
9. Another famous Kingston is located in this tropical island nation.
10. Edmonds was named for a Senator from this state.
11. The Kingston Trio's first number one hit was about condemned man Tom ______________.
