Geocache Description:

Use caution and bear safety. The Apshawa preserve was the site of a recent fatal bear attack. This cache is a short distance from the purple connector trail and up the side of a steep hill.  "More than five miles of blazed trails traverse the Apshawa Preserve . This is a traditional cache complete with log book, pencils, souvenirs and trackables.  This cache is a short distance from the purple connector trail and up the side of a steep hill.  The journey to the cache is fairly simple and a short distance from the parking lot.  Use caution when leaving the trail and climbing over loose rocks.
