Built in 1910, the Glen Leven school existed until 1955. There is a small stone cairn under the sign as well, which is almost not visible from the road if the grass happens to be long. Nice view of the fields from here.
The first teacher was Miss Allen, and the last was Mrs Joan Kinniburgh. The school was named after a place in Scotland by Mrs Fred Custead.
