Geocache Description:

Tucked away in Hakuba village, there is a small side street which use to be a part of the old "Salt Road". Along this small street there is a FREE Foot Bath.  This Cache is hidden in the Foot Bath area wink

This Cache is a Small tupperware-like container.  It is black in color and hidden out of plain sight.  This Cache may not be available year round due to heavy snow cover during the winter (about Dec to March).  So make sure you check to see if the Cache is enabled before you Hunt for it.

This location is historical in that it sits along the old "Salt Road" that starts on the West Coast of Japan and travels South through this Valley onward to Matsumoto City.  There is an annual "Salt Road" festival and hiking event that passes this FREE public Foot Bath where trekkers dress in the costumes of olden times and the local community opens a "rest stop" with cool water and FREE Udon for "Salt Road" hikers.  It's a nice event to view.

Please take time to enjoy this FREE foot Bath when you hunt this Cache.

Happy Hunting and enjoy HAKUBA and the North Alps area ! smiley
