Occasionally, someone comes into your life and makes a difference. BooBoo (not her real name) did just that last March. She breezed in, lacking a bit in confidence, but a bit like a fire waiting to be ignited.
We held the match and lit the touchpaper.
How she blossomed - BooBoo made great strides forward in her self-confidence and started to think more positively about herself.
Swimming was a new found passion – she effectively taught herself in no time at all. Geocaching was another enjoyable past-time. She quickly recognised the fun to be had by being out there. She had a real zest for learning, so a GPS receiver was a piece of cake. It was great to see her passion for taking on these new skills, with such ease - a natural learner. She also appreciated the social side to our hobby.
Almost just as quickly, BooBoo moved on again, and left us with a sense of wonderment. She gave us some fantastic memories and a feeling that we had made a difference.
The cache is placed close to one of BooBoo's favourite venues – Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre, where we together spent several hours, helping to build that confidence and self-belief.
You will need to bring your own writing implement. This is muggle country, so please take care when searching. There is ample parking almost adjacent to the cache.
