The cenotaph of the students of the first girls' high school of Hiroshima which passed away by the atomic bomb is in a peace main street.
297 a student and school staffs including the first grader mobilized by building evacuation work fell victim.
The cenotaph was completed at the place with the main gate in August, 1955.

平和大通りに原爆で亡くなられた広島第一高等女学校の学生達の慰霊碑があります。
建物疎開作業に動員されていた1年生をはじめ、297人の生徒・教職員が犠牲になりました。
慰霊碑は正門があった場所に1955年8月に完成しました。
