This was our favorite place to camp as kids with our parents and now we've been bringing our kids out here! It's beautiful and quiet...except when we bring dirt bikes and shotguns. Watch for toroises in the area!
Climb up the south slope of the tallest hill (don't forget your water) and sit a spell. You might see the hawk that lives nearby! Add a rock to the pile, or start a new one. You may even catch us here! Be careful around rocks for snakes! And watch for tortoises! We've seen babies in the area. Proceed at your own risk. We got nearby without a four-wheel-drive vehicle and walked up the hill. Use the regular "Desert Hiking" precautions: bring water and a snack and pay attention to where you are! This cache was originally placed as a family monument around 2006 for us to come back to and log each time we came to camp. Then it was a Letterbox. Now it's a cache! Enjoy the view!
