St John the Baptist Church in the small Worcestershire village of Strensham, is a redundant church now in the care of Churches Conservation Trust. To find out more information and pictures of its interior visit http://www.visitchurches.org.uk/Ourchurches/Completelistofchurches/Church-of-St-John-the-Baptist-Strensham-Worcestershire/
This handsome square-towered church stands on a rise above its two villages now separated by the M5, looking across the River Avon to Bredon Hill in the east and to the Malverns in the west.
Although the church probably originated earlier, the earliest fabric still present is from the 14th century. This is to be found in the nave and the chancel. The tower was added in the late 14th or in the 15th century, and the nave windows were altered in the 15th century. In the early 19th century the vestry was added.
If you have stopped at the nearby Strensham Service station why not stretch your legs and take a walk to this church it should only take 10 minutes

“If anybody would like to expand this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first atchurchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list”
