Across all family members, we've been here in beautiful New Caledonia for six+ months. We've been out geocaching a few times and decided it was time to start placing a few ourselves. We had a vacation day that we spent driving across island to visit Yate and environs. We were curious about the stub of road to the north on Google Maps and so we drove that direction. Turns out, the non-paved road continues a long ways north which we followed for about 10K before turning back. This cache is placed along the river at the last bridge before the unpaved section begins. We named this cache after our vehicle, a 1999 green Land Rover Defender that we feel confident in traveling just about anywhere with. While placing this cache, we saw several mudskippers, so keep your eyes open. Cache is a small plastic lock 'n' lock. We've provided very explicit photos to find the cache as it's our expectation that very few people will travel this far and the last thing we want is a DNF!
