Das Messezentrum Salzburg besticht durch seine geografische Lage im Herzen Europas und Österreichs, an der Grenze zu Bayern. Optimale Erreichbarkeit (direkt an der Autobahn A1, nur 5 Autominuten vom Salzburger Flughafen und Bahnhof entfernt), 3.300 Parkplätze direkt am Messegelände und die neue Multifunktionshalle erhöhen die Attraktivität des Messezentrums. 10 Messehallen mit insgesamt 36.625 m² Ausstellungsfläche und der 2.545 m² großen Salzburgarena ziehen jährlich mehr als 620.000 Besucher an.
Neue Kongressmessehalle (Halle 10) ermöglicht Großkongresse und Kongresse mit begleitender Ausstellung
Mit einer Investitionssumme von 34 Millionen Euro wurde 2011 eine neue Kongressmessehalle errichtet, die auf über 20.000 m² modernsten technischen Standard bietet und über eine Tagungsfläche von 6.000 m² verfügt. Damit können auch Kongresse und Großkongressmessen mit bis zu 5.000 Teilnehmern in Salzburg stattfinden. Mit den neuen Seminar und Tagungsräumen wird den Kunden eine optimale Business-Plattform geboten.
Bis zu drei Großveranstaltungen unter einem Dach
Die neue Kongressmessehalle besteht insgesamt aus neun Teilen, die getrennt genutzt werden können. Sie ist aber auch, ebenso wie das Foyer, in drei Teile mit jeweils einem eigenen Eingang unterteilbar. Damit können neben Großkongressen auch drei Veranstaltungen gleichzeitig unter einem Dach stattfinden. Die Kongressmessehhalle und Salzburgarena sind durch einen Gang direkt verbunden, sodass eine gleichzeitige Nutzung der beiden Veranstaltungsorte möglich ist.
Wichtiger Wirtschaftsfaktor für Salzburg
Durch die Aktivitäten am Messezentrum konnten im Zuge der Umwegrentabilität gesamtwirtschaftliche Produktionseffekte in Höhe von knapp 114 Millionen Euro erzielt und rund 1.200 Arbeitsplätze in Salzburg gesichert werden. Davon profitieren vor allem die heimische Wirtschaft, Hotellerie und Gastronomie.

New multi-purpose hall provides space for major conference fairs
34 million Euros were invested to build a new multi-purpose hall in 2011, offering newest technological standards on 20,000 m2 and a conference area of 6,000 m2. This enables us to organize conferences and major conference fairs with up to 4,500 participants in Salzburg. The new seminar and conference rooms provide the customers with a perfect business platform.
Up to three major events under the same roof
The new multi-purpose hall consists of nine parts that can be used separately as well. Another possibility is to divide the hall and the foyer into three parts, each with its own entrance, so that in addition to major conferences, three events can take place at the same time under the same roof. The multi-purpose hall and the Salzburg Arena are connected directly by a corridor, enabling the simultaneous use of both event venues.
An important economic factor for Salzburg
In the framework of indirect profitability, macroeconomic production results of about 114 million Euros could be achieved and 1,200 workplaces could be secured in Salzburg thanks to the activities at the Exhibition Center. This is particularly beneficial for the regional economy, hotel and restaurant business.
