Geocache Description:

This is the first cache of 10 placed on one of our Geomutt's favourite routes.  In our family we don't use the term "walkies" for the Geomutts.  Instead we go "ta-ta's", which is a Midlands saying to stop dogs going mad whenever the word walk is heard!

Sadly Jake unexpectedly passed away in November 2014, but our new Geomutt Oliver is taking over Jake's routes.

To keep the geokids interested, the series has a variety of sized containers and difficulties, however some definitely need an adult to retrieve.  The route is family friendly, but sadly not suitable for pushchairs.  Good boots / wellies are recommended after bad weather as the footpaths cross a number of fields.  In winter, the section between caches 3 and 5 have been known to be under water for periods, so check the river before attempting!   The series is just over 2 miles long from caches 1 to 10.

This series can be linked to other caches in the area, including some placed by our friends the Reptonians.  Parking can be found between caches 1 & 2, on Monsom lane near  the cemetery.  Please park considerately.

You will need your own pen and tweezers might be useful for some of these caches.  Some caches are fairly standard, others are sneaky.  Happy hunting.
