The cache is a nano container which will require you to bring your own tweezers to retrieve the log.

About the Group

The 8th Tynemouth Scout Group is based in Chicken Road, Wallsend. We provide scouting to young people aged between 6 – 14 years of age primarily in the Wallsend area.

The Group was formed in September 1930 and was originally known as the 8th Wallsend (St. Andrew’s) Scout Group. In March 1934 the Group moved to St. John’s Church and was registered and renamed the 8th Wallsend (St. John’s) which it is still officially registered as. In June 1973 Wallsend Scout District ceased to exist and the group was renamed the 8th Tynemouth on the 26th June 1973 at Tynemouth’s Annual General Meeting when the Wallsend and Tynemouth Scout Districts formally amalgamated.

The Group has had several meeting locations within Wallsend since its formation as a Scout Group namely St. Andrew’s Church Warwick Road, St. John’s Church Station Road, the Boys Club (Wallsend) and Chicken Road where its Group Headquarters now stands.
