Geocache Description:

The Cache
BRPT #17¼ sees you at a great vantage point overlooking all of Dun Laoghaire Harbour. You are looking for a small Decon container near the famous anchor of the R.M.S. Leinster which was sunk by a U-Boat in 1918.

And why the strange numbering for this Hide?  Well there never used to be room to place a traditional cache in this location, but with the recent archiving of GC11F81 (L is for Lighthouse), the space became available once again.

This is actually Hide #44 in the BRPT series but calling it 17¼ seemed appropriate in order to keep the series in sequential order.  It is also right next door to its infamous big brother #17½ (GC48NF0)
