Geocache Description:

Memories of a Biker's adventure.

The cache is fairly easy to find, I have noted the location of parking at the major trailhead, plus the minor trailhead that offshoots to get to the cache. Please cover it when complete. There is a creek in the vicinity so wear bug repellant during mosquito season.

This cache is placed near an abandoned mountain bike course with raised wooden tracks. Nature has taken its course and some tracks are a bit rickety and damaged, but most are in good enough condition to walk on. If you follow the trail further (you'll have to find a way across the creek, be careful if you use the bridge) there's a larger raised track in good condition.

We found this place while exploring the main trails in Greenwood Conservation Area. This trail is a favourite of my kids as they love running across the raised tracks. The condition of the tracks is getting worse over time (a tree has fallen on one and the tracks through the creek have almost washed away) so please use caution.

The bike circuit have since been abandoned in 2012 to protect the habitat of a type of fish called the Redside Dace which is an endangered species that inhabits the two creeks in this area. Thank you to CarolynCL for finding this info and for the First to Find.
