The I-275 Bike Trail now uses Meadowbrook Road to connect the section further to the north to that along of M-5. This is one of a set of six caches to fill in the area up to 12 Mile Road. As with the other sections, I am naming them after bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Hillman. The English bicycle manufacturer Hillman Herbert and Cooper produced its bicycle called the Kangaroo in 1885. Eventually Hillman moved on to making automobiles in 1907. As a company they were taken over in succession by Humber, Rootes and then Chrysler. Chrysler eventually sold the brand to Peugeot.
The cache container is a small bison tube. You may need a log extractor. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
I have found that a quick and simple log extraction tool can be made from a small paperclip. Straighten one end out. Grab just a small portion (maybe 1/32 of an inch or 1 millimeter) with a long-nose or needle-nose pliers then bend it at a right angle. I have attached one to the cache you can use. Please leave it for the next person.
