The I-275 Bike Trail now uses Meadowbrook Road to connect the section further to the north to that along of M-5. This is one of a set of six caches to fill in the area up to 12 Mile Road. As with the other sections, I am naming them after bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Clark-Kent. Clark-Kent wasa bicycle frame manufacturer based in Colorado. The name Clark-Kent was a combination of the owners, Pat Clark and Dean Kent. It had no connection with Superman. They were an early supplier of frames to Tour de France bicyclist Greg LeMond.
The cache container is a small bison tube. You may need a log extractor. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
I have found that a quick and simple log extraction tool can be made from a small paperclip. Straighten one end out. Grab just a small portion (maybe 1/32 of an inch or 1 millimeter) with a long-nose or needle-nose pliers then bend it at a right angle. I have attached one to the cache you can use. Please leave it for the next person.
