Welcome to the Wandering K series! This series aims to lead you along the meandering walking trail up the centre of Kay St in Traralgon. Kay St itself starts in the hub of the town and takes you all the way up through the popular West End of town and then on towards the hospital and eventually Morwell (although we don't expect you to walk that far!). The street houses a lot of dentists, the police station, a night club or two (ironically next door to the police station), the impressive St Michael's church, the council buildings and, if you come on the right weekends, the Farmer's Market or the Craft Market.
But this starting cache takes you a little bit further out of the town to the walking trail that starts at the Kay St/Breed St roundabout. This was one of the first places I found to walk in Traralgon when I moved here and the thing that attracted me most was the double line of trees on the hill. Depending on the time of year you are around the trees show an amazing array of colours, from the fresh new green growth of spring to the bright reds and oranges of autumn. From the top of the hill you are offered a view down into Traralgon and a beautiful view of the sun rising if you are keen.
The listed coordinates will take to you a spot just over the top of the hill. Here you will need to gather the following information:
A = Number of words in the first line of writing
B = Number of runners in the group pictured
C = Number of cyclists pictured
DE = Number on the bib of the runner in the yellow shorts
Now complete the following to get your final GZ coords:
S 38 D(C - 1).B(A - 3)C E 146 (B/2)(E - 6).E(B + 2)(C - 2)
Please be very aware of the constant stream of muggle traffic in this area and bring your super-stealth skills with you. Please return the cache to the exact spot you found it.
