Geocache Description:

Logan County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of the 2010 census, the population was 763. Its county seat is Stapleton. Logan County is part of the North Platte, NE Micropolitan Statistical Area. The North Platte Micropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Burear, is an area consisting of three counties in Nebraska, anchored by the city of North Platte.

 


Logan County was formed in 1885. It was named after the Union General John A. Logan.

The first railroad was built through Logan County in 1911.
