How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A Cache placed in a spooky location. You will have to hike across Moorland to get to the Cache and it can be quite strenuous, please be prepared for all conditions when Moor trekking.

This Cache is located on the Ancient Garrow Tor at Garrow Farm.

The Farm House here as always fascinated me, is it abandoned or is it lived in?

Research suggests it was abandoned in the early 1900s but there are obvious signs of present life here. Fresh Fruit appears in the Windows, a Bed can be seen upstairs and there is even a Gas Cooker. There is obviously no Electricity or Heating so who or what is living here?

What do you think, is it simply a base for a Local Farmer, a hide out for a convict or is it a hang out for all the Ghost and Ghouls of the Moor.

You are looking for a small cliptop box.

Please replace as found.

You do not need to touch the wall.

***You can now read about this house in a book called Rising Ground by Phillip Marsden, in which the Author stays in this house and sheds light on its purpose. The book also contains lots of interesting information on Garrow Tor and the surrounding areas.*****
