Located in the Union Church Cemetery off of State Rout 48 North of Covington. This is a family friendly hide with easy parking and flat, short walk.
Located in Union Church Cemetery, this hallowed ground obtained its first burial in 1822. Fifteen years later, the land was legally set aside as a cemetery and turned over to Newberry Township Trustees and was placed in their care by Moses and Isabella Mitchell. The first burials on this site were located along the south end and grouped towards the west. When turned over to the Township, there were as many as 35 graves already in place. Please take note of the names currently in the cemetery as many descendants still can be found in the Newberry Township area
