Geocache Description:

The Links at St. Andrews, Scotland is known as the home of golf where the game was invented over 600 years ago.  I had the pleasure of playing one of the courses at St. Andrews this summer, thereby knocking one off the bucket list.  There are seven links courses along the windswept coastline of the North Sea with the elements and the rugged grasses making these some of the most challenging courses in the world to play.

This is the first in hopefully a series of caches around area golf courses honoring The Links at St. Andrews.  The cache is not at the listed coordinates.  In order to find it you will have to find the answers to these simple questions.

N 52 06.ABC

W 106 34.DEF

A = par on hole number 11 on the Strathtyrum course at St. Andrews

B = the last number of the year that the standard for a golf course was changed from 22 to 18 holes and an 18-hole course was first established at St. Andrews

C = the hole number known as Eden’s Edge on the Jubliee Course at St. Andrews

D = the second digit of the percentage of members voting in favour of allowing female members in 2014

E = number of times Sam Snead won the Open Championship when it was played at St. Andrews

F = hole number paired with hole 14 on the famous “double greens” of the Old Course

A golf ball might seem rather chintzy as a FTF prize but it is an authentic ball from the St. Andrews clubhouse.  A few tees have been thrown in as well.

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

Congrats to el fudgeeo on FTF and tackpee on STF. Yes, I'm not sure the gents on the camo are serious golfers but they do blend in well.
