The cache is a plastic screw top container. It is hidden in an area that has a little bit of poison ivy, but I was able to avoid it when I placed the container, and considering it is late Sept. I don't think it will be a problem. Although the trail around Green Lakes is maintained and well traveled in the winter, this cache is up hill, and could be a real challenge with snow an ice or if there has been a lot of rain. Green Lakes charges admission from Memorial Day until Labor Day. It is open dawn till dusk. This container was originally placed in a different park, as a night cache, but the park closed it's doors, so I reused the log book here.
