This cache IS located at the above coordinates. The Difficulty arises from the # of caches needed to complete the challenge. The terrain rating also reflects the difficulty off completing this challenge.
IN ORDER TO LOG A "FIND" you must have found enough caches in ONE CALENDER DAY so that their combined Difficulty STARS and Terrain STARS WILL EQUAL OR EXCEED 250 STARS. (in addition to signing the log book).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This object of this challenge is for you to find caches, all within one calendar day, where their combined Difficulty STARS and Terrain STARS add up to a minimum of 250.
This can be done with as few as 25 caches (25 caches rated 5/5) or as many as 125 (125 caches rated 1/1). SO, all you have to do is find between 25 and 125 caches in one day. We did it with 81 caches on 7/31/14
Here is an example:
Cache A is rated Difficulty 3 (
) and Terrain 2 (
) which adds up to 5 STARS ( 3 stars for the Difficulty + 2 stars for the Terrain = 5 stars total for this example.).
The Rules of This Challenge:
1): All of your finds must be found on the same calendar day
2): You Yourself Must Have Physically Visited Each Cache That Day!
3): This should not have to be said, BUT, you may NOT count caches you placed, nor may you count a cache more than once.
4): THE SUM OF ALL STARS, (Difficulty & Terrain), must equal or exceed 250 Stars.
5): You MUST FIND AND SIGN THE LOG IN THE FINAL CACHE (this listing).
6): You may list you finds with a bookmark or in your log, all caches found for this cache along with their D/T rating. (This rule accounts for part of the difficulty of the cache rating)
Note the Total # of caches and the SUM OF ALL STARS on the next line below your cache list.
Format to use for #6 :
( GC# OR Cache Name(or part of it) or URL, etc (something to identify the cache) , D/T star rating.
For Example:
Total = 3 Caches, 8 Stars
( GC2EXWX ), Aunt Farm, 1.5/1.5
( GC14236 ), Doc's Geocoin and Travel Bug Stop..., 1/1
( GC16FMQ ), Hwy 11 - Rocks & Roots, 1.5/1.5
It is okay to truncate cache series, just make sure that there is enough information in your log to verify that you have met the challenge requirements or your log could be deleted. For example, if you found all 82 Final Approach caches on the same day, You could put:
Final Approach caches (Complete Series), 82 caches, 290 Stars (166/124) on X/X/X date
GC59F1N - Final Approach 1 - First of Series
Please put in at least one GC number from each series, so that we can locate the series to verify cache requirements.
Using GSAK software and the StarCount macro (visit link) will create this list for you or you can type it. This text is acceptable as the log post as well (though it might take an additional note to fit all the urls it generates into the logs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
REMEMBER: YOU MUST FIND ALL THE CACHES DURING ONE CALENDER DAY ! ! !
