The aim is to have a monthly meet around the region, a social gathering and a 'Mardle'. if you don't know what a Mardle is - it is basically a chat event. To discuss anything at all.
The Venue - With the kind agreement of the owner Karl - We have selected The Mardle Cafe as the natural and logical place to start the Mardle series off. There is a wide selection of homemade cakes, light meals, teas, coffees and ice creams. All of which I have diligently tested for you prior to the visit to verify their excellence. The owner has agreed we can stay until about 4:30 - 5 (The Village maid pub very close by opens at 6.30pm). The Mardle is child friendly and dogs are permitted at the cafe owner's discretion. There is seating for up to 20 people inside, so please be aware that space is a little limited. The loction is open to the general public so there may initially be a mix of muggles too.
Directions to The Mardle Cafe -
51 The St, Lound, Lowestoft NR32 5LP 01502 730820

If you are approaching from Great Yarmouth please be aware that the road to Browston from the A143 is currently closed, but there is a well signposted diversion along the A143 towards Cherry Lane. Please observe the 30mph speed limit both here and in the Lound Village.
Parking is along the main road, so please be respectful of people's access to driveways, and be careful as some seem to think the 30mph speed limit is advisory.
There will be a new nearby cache, a logbook for the event plus an opportunity to pass on / swap trackables.
Making a day of it -
If you are planning on a cache day we can recommend the Lound and Ashby circular as a good nearby route by Alan&Marie plus there are a number around the Lound Lakes by Dawn&Dave.
Please leave your details below if you are attending as I can let Karl know anticipated numbers in advance (to make sure he has the right amount of cake and staff for us all)
