A quiet park with walk/bike path along a section of Bulimba Creek, well above flood levels with lots of wildlife. Great place to walk dogs (on leash) or cycle with geokids. Sighted terapins (freshwater turtles), spoonbills and even a beautiful Keelback snake (non-venomous). Recent addition to the park is an off-leash area close by.
Several routes to this geocache allow various parking locations. Opportunities exist to explore the parkland and creek shores.
Cache is a small section of 75mm PVC pipe. well camouflaged, behind an object in the cache name. Well concealed but will be easy for cachers. Family friendly and prize for FTF. Congratulations Immyky for FTF.
Room for small swaps and trackables. Please do not leave legal currency (Notes or coins) in our caches (Geocoins are OK). Location is a moderate muggle risk so stealth should be taken. Ensure cache is placed deep in hide and hide is returned to original condition. Please do not relocate cache to a different hide location in wall. Below is some information references to our non-venomous freshwater or Keelback snake. I hope it does not become endangered from urban pressure or ignorance. http://www.qm.qld.gov.au/Find+out+about/Animals+of+Queensland/Reptiles/Snakes/Common+and+dangerous+species/Freshwater+Snake+Keelback+Snake#.VFwa8Mn4J64 http://calamvalecreek.awardspace.com/cool.html .
