During the Vietnam War, it was common for our warriors to find themselves in a tactical situation that would not allow for the ground evacuation of casualties. Many times these brave souls had to be stashed away, hidden, so as to not compromise the rest of the team. They would then return to collect their fallen. However, as of today more than 1600 service members remain missing. The mission to recovery their remains continues. While I was in Okinawa, Japan, I nominated one outstanding corporal or sergeant from my company to go on these recovery missions each year. You can learn more about this at the associated link. On this mission, we had to leave our corpsman hidden while en route to our objective. Be advised, during business hours you could be under observation by near by muggles. Do you best to maintain a low profile and noise discipline so as to not draw undue attention to you or your squad. He is waiting under your mission title. Good luck and Semper Fi!
