Poop Deck Traditional Cache

Ahoy! This cache be part o' a FFFX pirate-themed series placed in th' Ocala National Forest nigh 4x4 trails.  Use care when attemptin' t' loot; th' route may be muddy, sandy, scratchy & ain't meant fer th' family car. Some o' th' hides require careful handlin'. Replace caches as found 'n handle them wit' care.

One in a series of caches placed for Florida Finders Fest X’s 14 mile off-road Trail of Treasure. Hearty souls completing the trek will plunder pirate-themed caches that cover the alphabet. No need to frown when collecting custom pin striping courtesy of the forest, you’ll also be gathering smiles from A through Z!

Poop Deck trivia – The term 'poop deck' refers to the partial deck above the ship's main afterdeck at the stern of the ship. In the days before indoor plumbing, a structure was rigged aft of this deck over the sea for the purpose of relieving oneself.  Some ships also had a half-barrel with a lid, which was used to collect urine. The seamen would wash their clothes in the urine to kill the lice prior to rinsing them in seawater. When a ship takes a wave over the stern of a ship it is said to be 'pooped.'
