Alle spalle di Amalfi si trova la Valle dei Mulini, attraversata dal fiume Canneto, un corso d'acqua che alimentava le antiche cartiere e la Ferriera, antica fornace per la lavorazione del ferro. Behind the town of Amalfi there is the Mills Valley, crossed by the Canneto river, a stream that fed ancient paper mills and the Iron mill, an old fornace that processed iron.
