This old bridge was replaced when the railway line was upgraded for the Minerva coal trains. Old bridge is heritage listed so had to be preserved. This old bridge is lying in the scrub a few hundred meters from the new bridge. I think this old bridge will still be surviving long after the new bridge has gone. This entire area was under water in the 2008 floods. Due to limited turning area on dirt road, Its probably a good idea to park in parking area just of highway and walk in from there. Be aware of possible snakes and hazards around structure and long grass. Also be vigilant when crossing railway line as trains in this area do not run to schedule and can come along at any time.
