More quickies for Nornmal Heights. Since I have lived here for so long and am justifiably proud of my neighborhood, I want to bring more folks to see it.
Mountain View Drive has confounded so many folks when they first experience it. The street was once called Mission Drive and was routed to follow the top of Mission Valley on the south side of the valley. If You stay on Mountain View where it joins Adams Ave. and continue driving you will return to Adams Ave. many of the sidewalks were laid in 1914. The 1912 Plat book of the City of San Diego shows Copley as McKinley and Collier as Jefferson. In future hides I will divulge more interesting name changes of the streets of San Diego. Cache is in plain sight.
