A small cache is placed near the stone monument of memorial mound of 1000 people.

Memorial mound of 1000 people
Near the end of World War II, a large quantity of human bones were discovered in this area. Therefore this monument was built. Those bones are said to be the ashes of the soldier of General Ashikaga.
千人塚
第二次世界大戦末期、このあたりの山中に壕を構築していたところ大きな壺に入った大量の遺骨が発見された。これらを祀ったのが千人塚である。足利義輝が三好、松永の軍と戦って破れたときの兵士の遺骨という説がある。
This cache is placed on the plateau approximately 40 meters away from the memorial mound of 1000 people. You will have to stretch up to grab it.

*During the Gozan no Okuribi (Mountain Bonfire), visitors are prohibited from entering in this area.
このキャッシュは千人塚の石碑から40メートルほど離れた小高い台地にあります。キャッシュを取るのにごく軽い藪漕ぎと少しの背伸びが必要かもしれません。
*蚊が多いのでご注意ください。
*五山送り火の期間は関係者以外このエリアに立ち入れないと思います。
