WELCOME TO THE LITTLE LIBRARY!
This should be a fairly simple multi-stage puzzle cache. It will require you to visit an additional waypoint then figure out the location of the final.
With this cache, I hope to introduce the concept of getting books into circulation through a means other than a traditional library.
Stage 1
Once you arrive at the first stage, which is at the posted coordinates, you will see a beautiful little library. This little library is on private property, but all are welcome. The little library is owned by Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Pastor welcomed the idea of geocachers coming to visit.
As with most little libraries of this type, you are welcome to take a book to read or to pass it along to someone you know. If you have a book you would like to donate, just leave it in the library. Your donation will be appreciated by other readers. The idea is just to keep books in the hands of readers and not sitting on shelves gathering dust.
The journal book within the library is not a cache log, but you are welcome to sign it. It belongs to the library. There is no physical cache or log at this first stage. You will, however, need information from this site to be able to figure out the coordinates to stage 2.
The little library is a replica of the original church building on Alder Street in Missoula. Several church members worked on building and painting this little library for about a month. They also built a nice bench and walkway.
Answer the following questions to help you figure out the next waypoint:
1. How many windows are on the door of the library? _____
2. How many benches are located next to the library? ______
3. The little library is a replica of a church which was located on what street in Missoula?
__ __ __ __ __
4. What color is the inside of the library door? __ __ __ __ __
Use the above answers to calculate the coordinates for your next stop.
The answer to question 1 = A
The answer to question 2 = B
The number of letters in the answer to question 3 = C
The number of letters in the answer to question 4 plus 4 = D

Stage 2
I hope you enjoy this delightful little treasure in Missoula. In order to figure out the location of the final stage you will need to make a few observations.
There is no physical cache or log at this second stage. Please do not go into the yard. As with the last stage, you will need information from this site in order to figure out the coordinates to the final cache.
Something stone is guarding your destination with intense blue eyes. Paws a moment. A = the number of front paws that are not tucked in.
There is a plaque at this location which has a four-digit number. B = the first number.
Using your answers, calculate the coordinates to the final cache.
N 46* 5A.B83
W AA4* BB.55A
Final Cache
The final cache is at a location where you might sit and read a book you found on your journey. There are more Little Free Libraries around Missoula. The idea of the little libraries is to “pay it forward” by helping to foster literacy and the love of reading. At the little free libraries you are free to take a book or return a book.
The final cache is in an area that could have many little muggles depending upon the time of day.
What did you think of this neighborhood library idea?
