Geocache Description:


This cache is at the Kauri Point reserve on the coast of the northern Tauranga Harbour where there are some fine examples of mature pohutukawa trees growing right to the waters edge. Take a walk along the famous Kauri Point wharf or follow the track through the tree lined foreshore to the point where you will get a great view of Matakana Island and the upper harbour. Park on the reserve at the TOP of the hill and look for a marked walking track that goes DOWN through the bush to the wharf. The cache is a camo medium size jar and is big enough to take Travel Bugs. Please hide well after discovering it. Replaced on 15/1/17 after been missing for a while.
