Geocache Description:

We just returned from the Geocaching Event held in Libertyville to celebrate 12-13-14. Since the new millennium started we have had more than our share of cool dates 01/01/01, 02/02/02... 12/12/12. We have also had the dates of consecutive numbers 01/02/03, 02/03/04...11/12/13 and finally 12/13/14!

Evidently, people like these dates for things like weddings. We guess it is difficult for one to remember their wedding date so when these dates fall on Saturdays, they are magnets for brides and grooms to be. When 07/07/07 fell on a Saturday, it became the most popular wedding date ever! Today, is a Saturday and there will be a lot more weddings today than normal (for December).

So, what next? Some look to 2101, to the next big date (01/01/01) but we all remember that we considered dates like 7/7/77 and 8/8/88 (which was the first scheduled night game at Wrigley Field) as significant before 2000. So, if 12/13/14 isn't the last of the dates this century, what is next?

We heard of some math couples looking at Saturday 3/14/15, which represents the first 5 digits of Pi. But, if you are hoping to get married on a cool date (and on a weekend), well you might never get hitched.

Some of the next significant dates would be 2/2/22, 3/3/33, 1/2/34 and 4/4/44. None hit the weekend.
