Geocache Description:

foto: zagrebacki.info

Brutalism is an architectural style in modern architecture that flourished from 1954 to 1970. The name comes from the French word "brut concrete," which means "rough" concrete.

Richter's skyscrapers, also known as Rakete (e: the Rockets), are three residential buildings in the Zagreb neighborhood of  Trnje.
The blueprint for the building was made in the 1960s by a design Centar '51 studio architects Berislava Šerbetića, Ljubo Ivete, Wenceslaus Richter and Olga Korenik. construction was completed in 1968. The original project after the earthquake in Skopje in 1963 was modified to withstand a potential earthquake in their area.
The highest of the three buildings is 70 meters high. Initially, all three skyscrapers should be the same height, but it was noted that the two outer cross the path of TV and radio transmitters, and are built to an appropriate level.
